"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper
you and not to harm you..." Jeremiah 29:11
I was clear from a fairly early age that I wanted to work with children. Life through their eyes is the way I like to see it. In 1997 I graduated with a teaching degree and began teaching Kindergarten in Botetourt County. In my first two years of teaching our first two children were born and so began the days of my journey as a stay at home mom. My husband and I then grew our family with what we were sure to be our 3rd and final son and continued our course with me at home. In 2006 I began sensing God placing a call on my life to serve in ministry. Never in a million years would I have known that serving as a Children's Minister was a part of God's plan for me, but the call was clear and God opened the door for me to begin serving on staff at
North Roanoke in February of 2007.
God has done so much in my life through the ministries of North Roanoke from the time I was a teenager. This is the first church I considered my church home, I was baptized here, my husband & I began dating through our connection here and were married, and our 4 children (yes, I said 4....God was not finished and added a daughter to our crew in 2009) are growing up here. Three of them have come to know the Lord as their Savior and have been baptized here and now I am blessed to serve on Staff here.
God is so faithful to His children and I am blessed to know the outpouring of His grace, mercy and love. It is an indescribable joy to see young people give their life to Him and I am humbled that He allows me to
participate in that with so many boys and girls. The decision to know and serve Him is the greatest decision we can & will ever make.
